The Black Lesbian Literary Collective is a non-profit collaborative dedicated to creating a nurturing and sustainable environment for Black lesbian and queer women of color writers.

We specialize in building appreciation and sustained support for women of color literary artists and their work by increasing lesbian visibility in literary and independent publishing spheres.

Our programming includes a writing retreat, literary journal, writing group, book club and workshops.

Workshops

Our writing groups and workshops provide a judgment-free and supportive space to enhance your writing and story ideas and advance your writing journey.

Closed Writing Group: Allows a small group of writers to receive valuable feedback on works-in-progress. Each critique helps writers advance their work and identify areas of improvement. 

Open Workshops: Designed for new and emerging writers to convene around craft-based discussions. Open workshops are topic focused to foster your writing/writing goals through skill and professional development.
